If you follow me on social media then you probably know I became a Mom in January. But not just any Mom… the Mom to the most beautiful, incredible, sweetest little soul there ever was! Although I may be a little biased 😉 Our little Evelyn has completely transformed my world. Everything in my life is now about her, and honestly I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I purposely took on less weddings for 2018 but I’d be lying if I said that I still didn’t struggle to balance my work and new Mom life throughout the hectic wedding season. It was important for me to have Evie home with me for the first year and it was truthfully way harder than I imagined! In an effort to make the most of this precious, fleeting time with her I’ve decided to take a break from custom design projects for 2019 weddings.
This means no custom invitations or custom day-of stationery for now but fret not; I’ve got you covered if you’re dying to add some Whimsy to your big day – with our pre-designed Whimsy Collection pieces! Right now I have TWENTY-FIVE unique suites with hand painted and illustrated elements to cater to a variety of wedding styles – all ready for your personal details and available for purchase in our Whimsy Etsy shop. Some of the sets even include different color options to tailor to your unique big day for over 40 invitation set options to choose from… and that’s just the total right now; I’m planning on adding new suites throughout the next year!
Over the next few months I’ll also be expanding my Collection invitation and save the date sets to include matching day-of paper goodies: menus, programs, place cards, table numbers, and even printable signage! I will also still be offering custom upgrades to these suites such as custom monogram crests, custom maps, and addressing calligraphy.
I will be adding to the Whimsy Collection periodically with new suites – so please reach out and let me know what styles you’d like to see me add! Your idea for a Collection suite may get you semi-custom design for a fraction of the cost!
In addition to this break from custom stationery design, I will be limiting my signage services going into next year as well. For 2019 I will still be able to create custom acrylic signage pieces for purchase but will not be offering any rentals. This includes all frames, easels, and table numbers. Acrylic welcome signs, signature drink signs, itineraries, etc. can still be commissioned but will be provided to clients and planners unframed, as keepsake pieces.
This was honestly a difficult decision for me, as I truly love the custom design process. But custom is very time consuming so for now this is the best way for me to spend less time working, while still helping couples build the wedding details of their dreams! This hiatus from custom is just temporary, and I’m sure I will be shouting it from the rooftops when I have the time for custom projects again. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any requests or questions about this change in my services.
Now, allow me to show off more of my beautiful little family and my sweet Evie with these gorgeous photos taken by my talented friend, Cassie Rosch.
