Kelsey & Alex’s Wedding Style
Kelsey & Alex were married on a sunny fall day at the Sanctuary Golf Club in Sedalia, Colorado. Their wedding was full overflowing with soft, organic floral design that complimented the romantic and timeless decor.
The Custom Stationery Design Process
For their stationery, we first painted a watercolor wedding crest encompassed by lots of leafy foliage and blush blooms. The rest of their invitation suite carried the watercolor theme throughout with more painted florals and soft watercolor embellishments accented by modern calligraphy text.
Day-of Designs
We carried the watercolor theme through to their big day with the same painted floral designs on their menus and delicately painted watercolor table numbers.
Whimsy’s Favorite Design Detail
Our favorite piece from their big day was actually a surprise for the Bride and Groom – their wedding crest hand painted on framed acrylic as reception decor! We even brought in a small crest at the bottom of their mirrored seating chart. It was so much fun to design their crest and then incorporate it in thoughtful ways through their day-of details to create a subtle branding through consistency.
Kind Words from the Bride: “Meagan at Whimsy was a joy to work with. She had the most creative, beautiful ideas that fit the theme of our wedding perfectly. I got more compliments on our wedding invitations than I could count. The detail she put into designing my invitations was so impressive, and I was always very pleased! I sent her countless e-mails to check on how things were coming, and she always got back to me in a timely manner. I was so happy with her work, I had her make my table numbers and menu, which also turned out beautiful! Meagan definitely has a special talent, and if you use her, you won’t be disappointed!”
