Lorna & Ryan’s big day was the quintessential Colorado foothills wedding – complete with soft, feminine florals and tons of shabby chic chalkboard signage, beautifully captured by Sarah Hill Photography. Their ceremony at the Manor House in Littleton overlooked the Denver skyline, poking out between the rolling foothills. The following reception was bright with clean whites and touches of light pink along with soft greys.
We had the pleasure of designing Lorna & Ryan’s custom wedding invitation suite for their classic wedding; which played on their floral theme and muted color palette. A watercolor painted garland and floral ampersand were the main focus of the design, with soft watercolor lettering to match for their names and other stationery accents. One of my favorite pieces was the delicate hand painted wedding map of the Denver area – focusing on their venues and favorite locations around the city! The icing on the stationery “cake” was the metallic gold calligraphy addressing on pale grey envelopes.
For the big day, coordinated by Alaina of Root & Gather Events, we hand lettered a variety of chalkboard signage to help direct and inform their guests. Another wonderful personal touch that the couple thought to include was personalized wine glasses with each guest’s name to act as both an escort card to direct them to their table, as well as a wonderful wedding favor!
It was such a joy to work on such a classic wedding with loads of personal touches that I’m sure wowed Lorna & Ryan’s guests! Best wishes to the happy couple!
