Who doesn’t dream of getting married on a tropical beach with the sea breeze in your hair and the sand beneath your toes? This destination wedding in Costa Rica is filled with fun details that capture the perfect romantic elopement. When it comes to a beach wedding suite, we wanted to incorporate all the fun details of everyone’s favorite beach memories. From the seashell place cards adorned with calligraphy to the sea glass greens that remind you of an early morning walk on the beach, this invitation suite will have you wanting to pack your bags for a coastal adventure.
What to include with your Destination Wedding Invitations
We always get asked how much information you should mail along with your destination wedding invitation suite. The answer isn’t always simple and depends on a variety of factors – mainly how many activities you have planned for your trip and how involved you want to be with your guest’s travel and accommodations planning. Typically it’s best to include the recommended hotel(s) contact info, any necessary travel information such as the nearest airport along with suggested method of transportation (if not provided), and a brief outline of wedding weekend or week festivities. Then, you absolutely must have a wedding website URL! Wedding websites are necessary for destination weddings – providing all the little details (like packing tips!) and linking to outside websites for travel.
Sarah & Matt’s Wedding Style
For Sarah & Matt’s wedding suite we started with a graphic Save the Date with a picture of Costa Rica to get their guests excited for the trip. We carried the traditional serif fonts into their invitation suite while softening it with a soft, sea glass watercolor throughout. The watercolor Costa Rica orienting guests for the location of the resort in relation to the airport was the perfect compliment to this destination wedding invitation suite.
Whimsy’s Favorite Detail
Our favorite detail from this Costa Rican wedding was the hand lettered, calligraphy sea shell place cards. Such a fun accent for the day-of the wedding that was beachy but elegant. They were also a wonderful keepsake wedding favor for their guests!
